The New Zealand Muslim Association in collaboration with the Birkenhead Islamic Centre and the other branches Avondale Islamic centre, Ponsonby Mosque, Ranui, West Auckland Mosque, Kaipatiki Local board, Interfaith communities of Auckland; under the banner of Access for all, organized a fantastic Fun Day Out for the Special children of Auckland. The Day is also a special day for the parents and care-givers of these children. It was a FUN Day and there was many activities for the children, the parents and caregivers had the opportunity to relax, move around and seek lots of information on various other organisations supporting this event.

The kids was treated to many fun activity stalls, games and lots of yummy food. Everyone was invited to eat different foods, from sushi to curry/rice, halal sausages, from baked food to noodles, fruit and drinks all FREE of cost. The fun activities range from colour, fun, excitement! That’s what balloon twisting adds to every event! From flowers, swords, fairy wings and puppy dogs to the wildest craziest hats and creations balloon twisting adds so much life to a kids party.

The New Zealand Muslim Association provided yummy Halal spicy and non-spicy sausages, with BBQ onions on bread and lost of bottled water. President Ikhlaq Kashkari and helpers from Birkenhead Islamic Center and Avondale Islamic center was at hand to make a difference to the special kids and their parents of Auckland. He thanked all the centre’s under the banner of NZMA for the support to this worthy cause. Well done NZMA! for integrating with the wider NZ communities.
