EIDGAH AT AVONDALE
Avondale Islamic Centre celebrated Eid prayers (Eidgah) in an open air tennis stadium a short distance from the centre, off Blockhouse bay road. The lecture was from 7.45am with the Eid prayers at 8am. It was well attended by approximately 200 people from around Avondale. All who attended commented on the well organized event. Many people brought their own prayer mats and access to physically challenged was arranged with plenty of chairs too. The holy prophet observed this tradition and we hope to continue it In Sha Allah.
