In-Sha Allah starting in October, West Auckland Mosque (WAM) will commence the upgrade project. Some of the key changes include the following:
- Men’s ablution and toilet area will be moved outside the Masjid so as to increase the praying area
- Women’s ablution and toilet area will also be moved outside to the rear of the Masjid allowing for women’s prayer area, own entrance and better privacy
- New office, library & Janaza room to cater for other services
- Other changes include: new carpets, lighting/fittings, and painting of the interior and exterior of the Masjid.
Please refer overleaf for an estimated cost breakdown of the project. Each area is itemised and open to the public to sponsor, either individually or by teaming up with family members, relatives, etc.
Full estimation of project is approximately $420,000 – $460,000.
